SW 66th [phase 1]
This project involved a full down-to-the-studs remodel of a heavily dated kitchen and master suite. In the kitchen, the homeowners felt the space was too small and had a low ceiling. Workshop Architecture was able to make the space feel light and open through thoughtful design gestures such as grouping tall cabinetry and using open shelving. Light colors and a full height backsplash completed the effect. The new kitchen expanded into the space previously used as a breakfast nook and introduced a new island with seating for casual dining and conversation. Aging floors and heavily textured walls were replaced with a dark-stained oak and smooth-finished walls and ceilings with new lighting for a crisp, timeless look.
